Almost There!

Welcome back like I said in my last blog, here I am as promised!

Today I am blogging about my experience with creating my mid-semester journey midterm. I chose the mid-semester bingo project. I had to chose one technology tool from the top row and one from the bottom, and I used Google Slides and iMovie.

The google slides presentation I created includes the topics I have learned this semester. They are including  Bitmojis into my presentations, writing blogs, what science inquiry is, and the fieldwork. I wrote about what each one means to me, how I have learned to utilize them, and why they are important for teaching science in the classroom.

I also made an iMovie. I spoke about the topic listed above and what they all mean to me and how I plan to use each one in the future.

My favorite part from this midterm journey experience was definitely creating the google slides presentation. It allows me to be creative with my slides and use as many Bitmojis as I want. I really enjoyed showcasing what I have learned to use throughout this semester. I can't wait to incorporate all these techniques into my own classroom!

I am looking forward to the rest of this semester!

See you next time everyone! Let's keep on energizing those brains were almost there🎶!

Little Scientists In The Making 🧪

Welcome back everyone!

Group 1 finished giving their two lessons to the 4th grade class of BDMS, which means we are heading into week 2 of fieldwork time. I'd like to say thank you to group 1 for starting us off the class strong they did a great job! They introduced us to inquiry based learning and anchor phenomena and they did a very good job doing so.

The BDMS students were all so eager to learn, and it was great to hear them answer questions, share their screens, and follow along during brain breaks. I can't wait until my team goes to teach the students. I'm very excited!

Sorry everyone I slacked off a little bit, but to keep you all update group 2 has recently finished presenting their lessons to the fourth grade. It went great as well they made videos themselves to model activities the students had to do. That was so smart I loved that idea! We have 3 groups left and my team goes last, but I can't wait until we go! Fieldwork has been really fun so far I enjoy it very much. Can't wait for the students to learn so much more!

I'll see you in the next blog everyone which will be shortly so stay tuned!

Fieldwork Time!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!

October 7th we began our fieldwork with fourth graders and what a day it was. They were all very energetic and eager to participate, which was amazing. I enjoyed all my classmates activities they had planned to get to know the students they were so fun. My group went last to present and we did not have much time, but our time with the students still went well. I wish we had more time to listen to more of the student's thoughts on the question we asked.

The most exciting thing for me during this session was how eager the students were. They all shouted out answers or typed in the chat and it was great to see so much engagement going on I loved it! I loved the energy they were able to create especially through a Google meet. It is nice to see students so excited to learn it brings a smile to your face.

I am very excited for our future fieldwork sessions and cannot wait! I hope you all do well on this journey, have fun, and learn so much more. Knowledge is key.

Until next time everyone, stay safe!
